Combining panchromatic and full-resolution color imagery for highest image-resolving power and utmost detail and accuracy.

Amount of pixel across the flight strip

The UltraCam Eagle 4.1 has an industry-leading footprint of 28,110 pixels across the flight strip, resulting in increased flight collection efficiency.

Adaptive Motion Compensation (AMC)

The 4th generation UltraCam is further enhanced by Vexcel's proprietary Adaptive Motion Compensation (AMC) software approach for multi-directional image blur correction.

Airborne system with very fast frame rate
The ultra-fast frame rate of 1 frame per 0.7 seconds allows for rapid data collection at 5cm GSD with 80% forward overlap at up to 195 knots.

Three user-exchangeable lens kits
UltraCam lens exchange

Opting for flexibility.
User-exchangeable lens kits allow customers to take full advantage of the entire footprint—of more than 28,000 pixels across the flight strip—at different altitudes. Three different focal lengths of 90 mm, 120 mm, and 150 mm are available. The lens change procedure is straightforward and supported by a radiometric and geometric validation process. Even after multiple lens exchanges, photogrammetric-grade accuracy is maintained.

UltraCam Eagle 4.1 footprint

Greatest efficiency for all use cases.
The 500 Megapixel footprint can be exploited at different altitudes without compromising data quality, thanks to three field-exchangeable lens kits. The Eagle 4.1 is the system of choice for applications ranging from low altitude engineering collections to high altitude orthophotography projects.

Progress and perfection based on sound photogrammetric principles.
Built on proven 4th generation UltraCam architecture, the UltraCam Eagle 4.1 features CMOS sensors for a finer pixel pitch and new custom lenses, coupled with new electronics, to provide customers with imagery of exceptional sharpness, detail, and image dynamic. All these new components have been carefully designed and integrated, based on our longstanding and successful photogrammetric legacy, to ensure the highest possible quality outputs for current and future customer needs.

Accurate and visually impressive imagery through Adaptive Motion Compensation.
Introduced with the 4th generation UltraCam architecture, Vexcel's proprietary Adaptive Motion Compensation (AMC) plays a significant role in the enhanced quality of imagery produced by the UltraCam Eagle 4.1 and other UltraCam 4th generation systems. This software-based approach corrects all image motion blur, regardless of direction and image scale. The result is imagery that is exceptionally sharp and detailed. In the above image at a zoom level of 200%, the difference between no motion compensation and AMC can be observed by moving the arrow left and right.
