Graz, Austria • July 20, 2016 • Vexcel Imaging announces a new aerial camera design as well as a new camera naming structure.
All Vexcel Imaging cameras are manufactured with premium materials and are characterized through their sleek and straight forward design that always reflects the quality and value of the product. Thus, the camera design always follows the functionality: Each camera consists of a white body and a black cone. The corners of the cameras are painted in three different colors, each indicating a special category of aerial camera:
For wide-area mapping we offer the UltraCam Condor, identified by its orange corners.
Blue corners indicate our photogrammetric oblique cameras, the UltraCam Osprey M3 Premium and the UltraCam Osprey M3 Essential.
Our photogrammetric nadir cameras each have a silver corner. In this category we currently have the UltraCam Falcon M1 and M2 as well as the UltraCam Eagle M2.
Additionally, the naming structure of the cameras was changed as the versioning got too complex. Instead of “Prime” and numbers, versions will be indicated by using “Mark” with ascending numbers.
