The UltraCam Merlin 4.1 system family shares a common trait: They all rely on high-end Bayer pattern CMOS sensors and do not offer a panchromatic channel. Due to the inherent structure of the Bayer pattern filter array, each pixel contains only one spectral information. However, with Vexcel's best-in-class processing chain, the missing portion is expertly interpolated, making the UltraCam Merlin 4.1 models state-of-the art solutions that meet the fundamental quality and accuracy standards demanded by professionals in the field.
