Whether for business or mountains – Engelbert is always setting new goals


 

Engelbert Breg is one of Vexcel's longest serving employees. He joined the company in 2000 and has helped make Vexcel what it is today. Engelbert started as a field service engineer and was, at that time, responsible for installation, training, and service of the UltraScan5000 aerial film scanner. Today, Engelbert works as a Sales Director, responsible for Europe, Africa and Latin America. What Engelbert likes most about his job is the combination of working with technology and working with people. With this in mind, Engelbert must stay abreast of the latest technology and its benefits  to customers and must maintain an open line of dialogue with partners, customers and prospects to keep them up to date about Vexcel’s product innovations. „Only when your partners, customers and prospects know the added value of your technology, can they—and in the end, you—be successful, “ explains Engelbert. In doing so, he gets to know people from all over the world and learn about their culture, needs and challenges, as well as their way of thinking and living.

For him, this “absolutely opens the mind and broadens the horizons!” When asked what he does to relax in his spare time, Engelbert’s response may not sound very relaxing to some of his colleagues. His way of “relaxing” is mountaineering, cycling, running and all kinds of other sports. He also doesn’t shy away from big adventures like challenging climbs and open air camping which has provided him with many exciting and funny stories to share! Besides spending valuable time with his family and trying out new hobbies with his son, sports is an additional source of balance for Engelbert and keeps him fit for his many travel days and long nights. Having goals is important to Engelbert. He often compares life to his passion for mountain climbing. When you reach a peak, you can always see new peaks on the horizon you want to reach. So, you never run out of goals!
