Just recently, we introduced you to our radiometric calibration procedure, which is one of the reasons why our UltraCam sensors deliver detailed and accurate images in consistent quality. Today, we would like to give you the opportunity to learn how geometric calibration works and what processes are involved.

In this video, we take you on a journey in our calibration lab in Graz, that consists of a 3-dimensional geometry target and is equipped with about 400 target marks. Michael Gruber, Head of Photogrammetry Application at Vexcel Imaging in Graz, explains the geometric calibration procedure and talks about the necessary steps to make the UltraCam a metric camera for mapping applications. In addition to the lab in Graz, we also operate calibration labs in Denver (USA), and Singapore.
